Nauticalia began its journey as a floating marine antiques shop using a converted barge on the River Thames at Shepperton. As business developed it became apparent that there were not enough antiques to fulfil customer needs, in particular the larger items of nautical décor that customers delighted in. To solve the supply issue Nauticalia commissioned its first replicas from a specialist metal works and thus began their famous range of reproduction boating and shipping memorabilia. Soon to follow would be their extensive range of ships telegraphs, bells, binoculars, bosuns whistle’s, brass information signs and anchor lamps, all which necessitated the move to a larger premises.
Now, some 50 years later Nauticalia are world leaders in supplying nautical-themed furnishings coastal souvenirs, practical boating accessories and traditional nautical clothing.
We are now also pleased to announce that we are also stocking Nauticalia’s new range of Aluminium polished sculptures which including beautiful aircraft from the1930’s. Whether it be the famous Spitfire or Hurricane to the modern day Concorde or Tornado, we are sure that you will find these sculptures fascinating.
